Small Business Shout Out: Buz and Ned's Real Barbecue

"I support a standard for paid sick days", Buz Grossberg, owner of Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue

Buz Grossberg, owner of Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue restaurants in Richmond said "Restaurants lag in employee benefits and pay behind every other industry and it’s just not right. And it’s not going to change on it’s own without a mandate. Restaurant workers shouldn’t have to worry about whether they can pay for their medicine because they’ve stayed home sick, or worry that they won’t be able to pay their rent. It’s a hard time for restaurants, most of us are struggling to break even. But even in that case, I still support a standard for paid sick days. It’s certainly not going to help my bottom line if a sick employee causes an outbreak at my restaurant.”
